CORRAL Benefits

Concerning the CHF patients and caregivers, CORRAL is expected to:

  • Increase knowledge of the disease progression,
  • Empower and improve the quality of life of patients and caregivers,
  • Improve the integrated chronic heart failure management,
  • Enhance the role of patients in their own care and effective self-management,
  • Reduce burden of informal caregivers,
  • Reduce incidence of severe episodes and complications and
  • Reduce number of visits to hospital and clinician time requested.

 

Concerning the Healthcare professionals and the care providers, CORRAL is expected to:

  • Reduce time per patient for clinicians, nurses, and other staff as well as other cost reductions, e.g., bed occupancy, laboratory work, expenditure on medicines
  • Make available predictive data about the patient’s disease and improve evidence base on health outcomes and management of co-morbidities
  • Offer high quality of integration of procurers ICT systems
  • Improve quality management, certification and overall increased quality and cost-effectiveness of the healthcare system

The project CORRAL is implemented under the H2020 project “Pre-commercial Procurement of innovative ICT-enabled integrated care solutions to advance multidisciplinary health and care for patients with chronic heart failure” and is co-financed by the European Union.

The project started in May 2022 and the 3rd phase is expected to be completed in March 2025 .
